As a curiosity, Radar Picture is a production company that produced films like “The Last Samurai” and “Jumanji”, and now it will be able to produce a new feature film, about the life story of the poker legend Doyle Brunson.

According to information, the production company Radar Picture already has director Justin Smith to direct the audiovisual work on the life of Doyle Brunson. Smith was chosen because of his familiarity with the poker world, as the director is known as “Boosted J” at the professional poker tables, and has won over $2.2 million in tournament poker.

In addition, the film director is a well-known figure in North American competitions. For example, during the years 2009 to 2013, Justin Smith attended tournament series like World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker, as did Doyle Brunson.

However, Smith has decided to go professional in the field of audiovisual director and accept the opportunity to direct the feature film about the life of Doyle Brunson, something that will be a relatively difficult task. According to information, the producer Radar Picture will have to focus on more than 50 years of "Tex Dolly" career in the poker universe.

Justin Smith went public about the new opportunity to work on such an important work for the poker community. In his speech, Smith noted: "There have been many gambling and poker scripts sent to me. None of them has intrigued me as much as Doyle’s story."

In addition, director Justin Smith took the opportunity to emphasize: “I’m extremely honored to be in a unique position to be able to help tell his story and capture the environment accurately from an insider perspective.

In addition to Justin Smith, it was reported that Radar Picture CEO Ted Field will be following the entire project on the feature film about Doyle Brunson. In Field's words, Brunson's life will need to be told on stage like a roller coaster.

"Doyle's life story improbable life story needs to be told with all its rollercoaster ups and downs, and we at Radar privileged to have the chance to do it justice."

Given this, Radar Picture reported that there will be well-known names from the poker universe in the executive production. According to the producer itself, figures such as Dan Cates, Illya Trincher and David Oppenheim will be present in the role of executive production of the feature.

Therefore, bringing more than 50 years of activities from the living poker legend to the screen will be quite a challenging task. In his life, Brunson was the first player to win $1 million in a tournament, and still accumulate ten World Series of Poker bracelets.

Despite this, Brunson has the historic fact of being one of only four players to win two or more World Series of Poker Main Event titles. In addition, the ten WSOP bracelets he won have a huge weight in the history of the poker community, as only Phil Hellmuth has achieved the feat of conquering a position ahead of Brunson in this regard.

As such, the poker community is looking forward to a work filled with insider information and never-before-seen stories about Brunson's poker life.
